Welcome to Y-Invest. By registering, submitting information, or using the Platform in any capacity, you (User) agree
to the following Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the Platform.

1. Purpose of the Platform

The Platform is a professional networking and visibility tool designed to help SMEs, startups, and entrepreneurs
showcase high-level company information so that potential investors, partners, and stakeholders can view and
evaluate businesses of interest.
Users should only submit high-level, non-confidential information, such as:
 Company name and brief overview
 Key staff and leadership team
 Website and social media links
 Investment ask or funding needs
 Revenue range or business stage (optional)
 Industry, sector, and location
The Platform is not intended for confidential documents, internal financial statements, intellectual property files, or
any sensitive information.

2. Public Visibility of User Data

By submitting information, the User acknowledges and agrees that:
 Data entered into the Platform will be visible to all registered users, including SMEs, investors, and
partners.
 The Platform’s core purpose is to make business information discoverable.
 Once displayed, information may be viewed, copied, screened, downloaded, or shared by other users,
and the Company cannot fully prevent such actions.
The Company is not responsible for any consequences arising from the User’s public disclosure of information on
the Platform.


3. Accuracy of Information

The User is solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legality of the information provided. The
Company:
 does not verify the accuracy of submitted information.
 does not endorse any User, SME, or investment opportunity.
 will not be liable for decisions made based on User-submitted data. 
Investors and SMEs are encouraged to conduct independent due diligence.



4. Data Collection and Use

We collect the following types of data:
a. Information Submitted by the User
Examples include:
 Company profile and business description
 Investment requirements
 Contact information
 Sector, industry, and location
 High-level revenue or performance indicators
b. System-Generated Data
Including:
 Login activity
 Interaction logs
 Device information
 Platform usage analytics
How We Use the Data
Data is processed for:
1. Displaying User profiles to investors or SMEs
2. Improving user experience and matching algorithms
3. Generating anonymous analytics and insights
4. Ensuring compliance, audit, and security functions
5. Contacting users regarding platform updates or opportunities
We do not sell or commercially exploit personal or business data without explicit consent.

5. Data Visibility and Sharing

Your information may be shared with:
 Other registered platform users
 Technical service providers (hosting, security, analytics) under confidentiality
 Regulatory authorities if legally required 

We do not share sensitive or personal data with marketers or unrelated third parties.



6. Data Security

The Company applies industry-standard security measures, including encryption, secure hosting, and access
controls. However, you acknowledge that:
 No system can guarantee absolute protection against unauthorized access.
 Data intentionally made public on the Platform cannot be fully controlled.
 The Company cannot prevent other users from misusing or copying publicly visible information.
 Electronic data transmission carries inherent risks.
By using the Platform, the User accepts these limitations.



7. User Obligations

Users agree to:
1. Submit only information they are authorized to share
2. Upload only high-level, non-confidential data
3. Maintain the confidentiality of their login credentials
4. Avoid submitting illegal, offensive, or misleading information
5. Report any unauthorized access immediately
The Company may suspend or delete accounts that violate these rules.



8. Prohibited Activities

Users must not:
 Upload confidential financials, trade secrets, or protected IP
 Use the Platform for fraud, misrepresentation, or solicitation of illegal activities
 Attempt to scrape, download, or misuse other Users’ data
 Interfere with platform operations or security mechanisms


9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for:
 Accuracy, completeness, or reliability of User-submitted information
 Unauthorized access beyond reasonable control
 Loss or misuse of publicly visible data 

 Any investment, financial, or business decisions made by Users
 Damages arising from system downtime, errors, or interruptions
The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.



10. Indemnification

The User agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Company, its directors, employees, and service providers from
any claims, damages, or losses arising from:
 inaccurate or unlawful information submitted
 breach of these Terms
 misuse of the Platform
 unauthorized disclosure of data provided by the User



11. Data Retention and Deletion

Users may request account or data deletion by emailing info@y-invest.io
Data may still be retained where required for:
 legal compliance
 fraud-prevention
 system backups
 audit obligations
Publicly visible information may remain cached or reproduced by other users outside the Company’s control.



12. Updates to this Policy

The Company may amend these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated, and continued use of
the Platform constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
13. Governing Law
This Policy and Terms of Use are governed by the laws of Kenya, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.



14. Acceptance

By clicking “I Agree”, the User confirms that they:
 have read, understood, and accepted this Combined Privacy Policy & Terms of Use;
 consent to the visibility of their submitted data;
 understand the inherent risks of public data-sharing within the Platform.
